Venus brings more than 15 years of experience in executive administration, human resources, office management, and organizational operations. She joins NCWA from the Basin Irrigation and Drainage Authority (Sutter Mutual and RD 1500), where she served as Executive Assistant, supporting executive leadership, coordinating board meetings, managing human resources processes, overseeing financial and administrative functions, and helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
With a strong background in administrative coordination and a passion for building authentic relationships, Venus is known for her thoughtful, service-oriented approach and ability to manage complex priorities with professionalism and care. Her experience spans executive support, board coordination, event planning, human resources, financial administration, and organizational systems, making her a valuable addition to the NCWA team.
In her new role, Venus will help coordinate NCWA’s board and committee meetings, support member services and organizational communications, assist with events and special projects, and oversee many of the administrative functions that keep the association operating efficiently.
“I’m excited to join the Northern California Water team and support an organization that plays such an important role in bringing people together in the Sacramento Valley and around California water,” Venus said. “Having worked for a NCWA member agency, I’ve seen firsthand the value of collaboration and look forward to contributing to the association’s mission while supporting its members, board and staff.”
Venus earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations with a concentration in Human Resources from Golden Gate University and is currently pursuing her PHR-CA certification. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and creating positive working relationships while supporting leadership teams and complex organizations.
