Last week the California Rice Commission hosted a workshop in Yuba City to answer questions about conservation programs that are available this year to incentivize land and water management activities to provide habitat benefits. With the current drought and limited rice planting occurring in the Sacramento Valley this year, these programs are providing an essential role in supplying much needed habitat and food for birds, fish and other species.
