On September 27th, Reclamation District 108, NOAA Fisheries, California Department of Water Resources and the Sacramento River Forum were recognized for the successful completion of the Bullock Bend Mitigation Bank in Yolo County. The project, which was managed by Westervelt Environmental Services, consists of over 116 acres of restored floodplain habitat, which will provide critical rearing benefits to migrating juvenile salmon on the Sacramento River. The September 27th event included the breaching of the berm to connect the habitat to the Sacramento River.
