The future of working agriculture lands has been captured in this recent report completed by UC Davis and supported by the California Rice Commission. In a first of its kind in California report, multiple species use of ricelands has been undertaken and a bold step of how many acres of rice are needed in the Sacramento Valley to maintain that habitat offered. Hats off to John Eadie, Andrew Rypel, Brian Todd, Adrew Karp, Dan Sumner and many others for capturing the need to be protect and enhance California ricelands.
