Water Management

Northern California water users and other local governments have embarked on an integrated water management program that contains various water management strategies, including environmental water programs, fish passage (fish screens and siphons), flood protection, groundwater management, intra-regional water transfers and exchanges, evaluation of the Sites off-stream reservoir, waterfowl habitat, watershed management and water use efficiency programs. These water management strategies are each described in more detail to the right.
